Pegasus performed a concert of music by two of the masters of twentieth century church music – Herbert Howells and Frank Martin.
Saturday 4 June 2011 saw Pegasus perform a concert in the picturesque English village of Tilford, Surrey, as part of the Final Festival Concert of the 59th Tilford Bach Festival.
Pegasus performed a free hour-long recital of choral settings of texts from the King James Version of the Bible, to mark the text’s 400th anniversary. Beautiful music – spanning five centuries – was performed in the glorious 19th-century Holy Trinity church, the “cathedral of the Arts and Crafts movement.”
Pegasus performed a concert in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Farnham, on World Hospice Day. The performance was part of Voices for Hospice, a global bi-annual event raising awareness and funds for hospice and palliative care.
Pegasus joined a stellar line-up of vocal and instrumental talent for a performance of Handel’s one-act oratorio, first performed at London’s Covent Garden Theatre in 1751.
