Saturday 4 June 2011 saw Pegasus perform a concert in the picturesque English village of Tilford, Surrey, as part of the Final Festival Concert of the 59th Tilford Bach Festival.
Hear My Prayer: Choral Settings from the King James Bible
Pegasus performed a free hour-long recital of choral settings of texts from the King James Version of the Bible, to mark the text’s 400th anniversary. Beautiful music – spanning five centuries – was performed in the glorious 19th-century Holy Trinity church, the “cathedral of the Arts and Crafts movement.”
One Equal Music: A Concert for World Hospice Day
Pegasus performed a concert in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Farnham, on World Hospice Day. The performance was part of Voices for Hospice, a global bi-annual event raising awareness and funds for hospice and palliative care.
Handel: The Choice of Hercules
Pegasus joined a stellar line-up of vocal and instrumental talent for a performance of Handel’s one-act oratorio, first performed at London’s Covent Garden Theatre in 1751.
Music and Readings for Christmas
Pegasus joined the Friends of Shakespeare’s Globe for their annual Christmas carol concert. The evening included a range of Christmas music old and new, and special guest appearances by actors from Shakespeare’s Globe who gave seasonal readings.
