Handel’s Ode for St Cecilia’s Day

Alongside Handel’s Ode for St Cecilia’s Day, Pegasus performed Peter Philips’ motet Cantantibus organis and Benjamin Britten’s setting of W.H. Auden’s Hymn to St Cecilia. Soprano Jennifer France and tenor Rupert Charlesworth were the soloists, and the evening was presented with the London Handel Orchestra conducted by Laurence Cummings and Donald Burrows.
